Features and Design
Razer brings the new Optical Low-Profile switches with fast switch actuation to this low-profile keyboard, using infrared light to register each key press. It means there are ZERO delays with every keystroke, providing a faster and more responsive keyboard for gaming and a better typing experience.
The Low-Profile Optical Switch is available in two variants, Linear and Clicky. The Linear Optical Low-Profile Switch has actuation points of only 1.2 mm with a total distance of 2.8 mm and a pressing weight of only 45 grams. The clicky variant has an actuation point at 1.5 mm, tactile interchange simultaneously, a full range at 2.8 mm, and a suppression weight of 50 grams.
With less physical contact and wear and tear, Razer’s Low-Profile Optical Switches have been tested to an industry standard of 70 million presses, beating competitors’ switches by up to 40%.
Both types of switches are perfect for the low-profile ergonomic shape of the DeathStalker V2, with the slim design allowing each key to rest lower on the keyboard base for a more natural hand and arm position. As a result, players will feel minimal wrist fatigue even in long-term use without wrist pads.
Low-Profile Optical Switch Covers are laser-engraved keycaps with a tough coating for maximum resistance from fading or scratching. The tough coating makes the keycaps more durable, even compared to the PBT double shot. A 5052 aluminum alloy top plate even enhances this durability.
