Razer BlackShark V2 X Review
Razer BlackShark V2 X Software, Drivers, Manual Download – For those who often watch Western films, especially Hollywood, surely you are no stranger to the existence of a pilot. The pilots are seen wearing a headset whose housing design tends to be rounded, and there is one large button on the earcup housing. That’s what Razer brings to the Razer BlackShark V2 X headset product, which we will review in this review.
Headset Design
The Razer BlackShark V2 X is one of the lightest headsets we’ve ever tried. The weight of this headset is only 240 grams. It makes the crown of the head not depressed when wearing it. Also, traveling, you don’t even carry heavy luggage.
The headset’s overall plastic material isn’t that extraordinary, but it’s still within the standard of solid quality and not flimsy. The black color dominates all parts of the headset except for the thick green color of the ‘Razer’ logo represented by the cable on the headband arm and the connectivity cable, which, unfortunately, is not yet detachable.
The earcup housing is made of plastic with an oval and matte black shape. This part includes the ones easily smudged with oil, so they are easy to slip. The three-headed snake logo is camouflaged on the housing, making it more calm and unobtrusive. Earcup has a foam that tends to be soft, relatively thick, and has two different surfaces but is still protected from synthetic leather.
BlackShark V2 X Features
There is a volume control button on the left of the headset that catches attention. The volume control button is round and looks quite large. Turn it down to decrease the volume and up to increase the volume. There is a kind of ‘marker’ when the user sets the volume to 50%, which will feel like a jolt when the button is rotated. Small things like that are beneficial for knowing the amount of volume set.
In addition to the volume buttons, there is also a Mute button on the back. The Mute button is pressed once to Mute and then again to Un-Mute. In addition, on the left side of the headset is also the location of the 3.5 mm headset jack connectivity cable and a Cardioid-type microphone which unfortunately is not detachable.
A connectivity headset with a 3.5 mm jack is compatible with various platforms ranging from desktop PCs and consoles to smartphones. It’s just that when you want to use a microphone, you are required to lock the audio splitter first. One headset connectivity cable only works for sound, no microphone. Of course, this kind of thing will make the audio port more and more full, especially on desktop PCs.
BlackShark V2 X Performance
The BlackShark V2 X headset can easily record your voice while playing and communicate between team members. Supported by the Fixed Razer HyperClear Cardioid Mic, the headset microphone offers the flexibility to be directed to match the distance from the user’s mouth to the microphone, also reducing the possibility of noise in the form of breath sounds. The headset microphone itself has also been Discord Certified.
We tried recording the headset microphone directly through Audacity and recorded at 100% gain settings with no microphone boost. The result was very satisfying, and a little noise was heard. In addition, the sound also sounds clear, clear, and not made like a robot or natural.
