The Razer Blackshark V2 uses a metal frame, the headband is wrapped in foam covered with mesh material, and leather accents on the headband read Razer. The shape is getting more character through the oval-shaped earcups that are pretty large.
On the left earcup, there is a volume adjustment, a mute microphone button, and a 3.5 mm jack for the microphone. The microphone from the Razer Blackshark V2 is also like an add-on that you can take off when you’re not using it. One drawback of the design is that the cables between the earcups and the headband are exposed. It would be great if Razer could make the cable not exposed like most gaming headsets.
Features & Performance
Although it comes without the Active Noise Canceling feature like the Razer Opus, this headset has excellent soundproofing. Again, the Blackshark V2 was able to amaze us. Its impermeability managed to dispel noise from unwanted sounds. If there are noisy friends beside you, Blackshark is guaranteed to block their voices effectively.
More than that. The silence on the Blackshark V2 is better than any headset with ANC, especially for unintentionally loud noises. For example, the cry of a baby or the sound of a motorcycle exhaust on the road in front of the house. Thanks to the shape, size, and thickness of the foam in the earcups.
The Razer Blackshark V2 is compatible with gaming consoles such as the Xbox, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. For use on a laptop or PC, as long as you use the USB soundcard provided in the sales package, you will be able to activate features in Razer Synapse 3, a special software from Razer.
For the Blackshark V2 headset, you also have a lot of flexibility in the Razer Synapse 3.
