Logitech G935 Headset Review

Logitech G935 Software, Latest Drivers, Manual Guide DownloadThe Logitech G933 Artemis Spectrum Headset was one of our favorite headsets of 2015. With excellent wireless connectivity, a comfortable fit, and great sound, it’s our go-to headset, even at a relatively high $200. Four years later, Logitech released the G935 ($170), a fine upgrade at a slightly lower price.

Currently, the G935 is one of the better wireless gaming headsets on the market. Sounds good, fits, and is compatible with almost all systems and platforms. However, the slight drawback is that the headset still displays some unnecessary features, such as a large design and RGB lighting that seems excessive, but it all depends on each user’s taste.

Logitech G935 Design

The Logitech G935 is large, measuring 7.4 x 7.7 x 3.4 inches and weighing 13.4 ounces. Like the G933, it has a black plastic chassis that is partly matte and glossy. Geometric patterns adorn the ear cups and headband, giving it a “gamer” feel without being over the top. The square earcups set it apart from other headphones.

Like most other Logitech headsets, the G935 also features a hidden, retractable microphone in the left earcup, which is easy to store when you’re not using it. The back of the left earcup has a power switch, three programmable buttons, a mute microphone, and a volume control button.

Thanks to the LED strip and the illuminated “G” symbol on each earcup, Make this headset is more colorful. We still don’t quite understand the appeal of headsets with lots of RGB. You can’t see colors when you’re using them.

Features and Performance

To get the most out of the Logitech G935, you must install the Logitech G Hub software. The software allows you to customize many features and settings on the G935, from changing sound options to adjusting lighting patterns. Arguably the most important feature of the G Hub is DTS 7.1 surround sound and various equalization profiles.

The Logitech G935 works pretty well with PCs. The headset is also compatible with PS4 and Switch if you have one. The value of the peripherals is potentially triple. Just plug the wireless dongle into your laptop/PC, PS4, or Switch, and the headset is ready to go wirelessly. (Though the sound quality isn’t great, you can use a 3.5mm audio cable for Xbox One, Switch, and mobile platforms.)

One thing we love and appreciate about the Logitech G935 is that it handles music very well. Bass is a little quiet, but it handles everything from rock to Baroque easily.

However, its size and design are too “Gaming,” making it less suitable for a set of everyday music headphones. If you have plenty of room in your bag and don’t mind taking it everywhere, you can do that, but gadgets will still look out of place anywhere but in the living room or game corner.
