Logitech G915 keyboard Review
Logitech G915 keyboard Software, Driver Update, and Manual Guide – Logitech announced the presence of its newest gaming keyboard, the G915 Lightspeed Wireless Keyboard. One thing that is the main selling point of this wireless keyboard is that it uses the latest Low-Profile GL switch from Logitech.
Design and Comfort
In terms of layout and ergonomically, this is the right keyboard. Microsoft’s Surface keyboard and Apple’s Magic keyboard are obvious references. Still, the RGB lighting and additional keys for macros and media provide subtle assurances that the G915 can outperform it in PUBG and Google Docs.
Aluminum plate with a “brushed” look and painted in gunmetal gray. Above the keyboard layout are Lightspeed and Bluetooth pairing buttons, membrane buttons for recording and accessing macros, lighting controls, and a game mode switch. The RGB backlit Logitech’ G’ logo is in the upper left. Above the Numpad, you’ll find what Logitech calls an edgeless volume roll painted in gunmetal gray.
At the bottom, you’ll find two sets of legs, allowing you to maximize the inclination angle. However, no armrest is provided, which is a bit of a disappointment. Since it’s a fragile board and connects wirelessly, there’s no USB passthrough here, so you’ll have to connect the mouse directly to your PC.
G915 Features
Logitech G915 Lightspeed Wireless looks cool with RGB lighting decoration typical of gaming peripherals, with support for more than 16.8 million colors and five programmable macro buttons. For the connection itself, this keyboard uses a dongle connected to a PC with Lightspeed technology.
Regarding the switch, Low-Profile GL is available in three variants, including Linear, Tactile, and Clicky. Perhaps it is similar to the Cherry MX Red, Brown, and Blue switch variants. But the difference is Low-Profile GL has a much lower height or only half of the standard mechanical switches.
With a lower altitude, the Logitech G915 Lightspeed Wireless promises a 25 percent faster response when each button is pressed. It is suitable for gaming, but this advantage is also suitable for users who want to type faster. The Logitech G915 Lightspeed Wireless uses a battery that lasts up to 135 days if the RGB lights are turned off. But if the lighting is turned on, the battery only lasts 12 days.
Price and Conclusion
The Logitech G915 Lightspeed Wireless keyboard retails for US$249.99. In addition to the G915, Logitech also launched the G815 LightSync RGB, a wired or cable version with a lower price, which is US$199.99.
The Logitech G915 delivers a fantastic combination of error-free typing, speed, and comfort. You’ll be content with the G915 despite the slightly cheaper high-end Razer or Corsair keyboards in comparison, but for those who secretly yearn for the stability of the old membrane days, this is a dream come true.
