Logitech G603 Gaming Mouse Review
Logitech G603 Software, Driver Update, and Manual Guide – Logitech, a manufacturer from Switzerland, is known for its minimalist design. That is included in its Logitech Gaming product line, such as the G603 series that is in my hands this time. It’s sexy, smooth, and slick, making me curious.
Simple Design
As I mentioned earlier, the Logitech G603 looks sexy and smooth. At first glance, the Logitech G603 doesn’t look like most gaming mice excited about their futuristic designs. The G603 looks more minimalist with an almost ambidextrous design, but this mouse is intended for active right-handed gamers.
The Logitech G603 mouse measures 124 mm in length, 68 mm in width, and 43 mm in height. For the size of my wrist, which can be considered long fingers, this mouse is moderate in the hand but slightly slim on the sides.
This Logitech gaming mouse has six buttons on the top, including left and right click buttons, scroll buttons, sensitivity settings buttons, and two buttons on the left. While on the bottom side, there are also buttons for setting the mode and type of connectivity.
G603 supports dual Bluetooth connectivity and Wireless LIGHTSPEED technology. This mouse requires an AA-type battery as its power source. The Logitech G603 uses a top-side design that is easy to open to access the battery slot behind it. To open it, lift up the hollow on the bottom side of the back of the mouse.
Features and Performance
All gaming equipment is equipped with software support and the G603 mouse, which Logitech Gaming Software supports. This software offers program settings on the six main buttons where the functions include Mouse Function, Keyboard Shortcut, and Macro. Gamers can also set sensor sensitivity levels from 200 to 12,000 dpi on the on-the-fly DPI button for fast-switching sensitivities in-game. Since there is only one, the DPI value increase can only be done in one direction. It cannot go up and down.
The conventional style of using AA-type batteries seems old-fashioned rather than a built-in battery that can be recharged. But it turns out that Logitech offers one more feature, the weight setting. Apart from being a resource for the mouse, the battery here also doubles as ballast on the mouse. Gamers can place a battery in the left or right slot or use both if they like more measured movements.
The next feature is connectivity. Even though it relies on wireless features, this mouse offers two types of Bluetooth wireless connections and Wireless LIGHTSPEED. The presence of two types of connectivity makes this mouse not only dedicated to one device that uses its receiver (Wireless LIGHTSPEED), but gamers can still use this mouse on other notebooks by relying on a Bluetooth connection for daily use.
The Logitech G603 has two modes that offer performance or battery life. Here Logitech provides different sensor settings, where the LO mode has a report rate of 8 ms, designed to extend battery life. Meanwhile, in HI mode, gamers can set a high report rate from 125 to 1000 ms to get an accurate mouse movement experience.
