Logitech G600 MMO Software, Driver Update, Manual Guide – Logitech introduces the Logitech G600 MMO Gaming Mouse, the latest edition of the highly popular G-Series lineup among video game lovers. Specially designed to be customized to maximize gameplay from the Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) genre, the Logitech G600 Gaming Mouse is also very comfortable to hand, even when used for a long time.
Design and Features
If you are a gamer and know about gaming mice, the design may feel very familiar, like a product from one of its competitors. Yes, you are not wrong. The design of the G600 MMO does resemble a Razer Naga gaming mouse, with Macro buttons on the side of the body. These buttons are specifically designed for games like MMORPGs that require speed in performing actions.
But the difference is, if the Razer Naga only has 17 Macro buttons in total, the Logitech G600 is equipped with up to 20 Macro buttons around its body. The buttons consist of 12 Macro buttons on the left side, two Macro buttons in the middle, three main buttons (left, middle, and right click), and two side-scrolling buttons on the mouse wheel.
The 12 Macro buttons on the left are divided into two sets, each with its index bar and a unique button shape. Thus, users can memorize the keys more easily and quickly. Users can manage all available Macro buttons via the included Logitech Gaming Application. Uniquely, the twelve Macro buttons on the side have LED lights, each of which can be changed in color to give each button its distinctive character.
This mouse is designed for palm grip style use (holding it until it touches the palm) and is equipped with an 8,200 DPI optical sensor with processing speeds of up to 11.25 megapixels/sec. Logitech is equipped with a 2m long USB cable to provide freedom of movement. Not to mention, thanks to the weight of 133 grams and the legs made of Teflon, this mouse can also move swiftly on the user’s favorite mousepad.
Mouse Performance
We certainly can’t talk about the capabilities of gaming peripherals without having tried them firsthand. Although it was introduced as a gaming mouse for MMO, we tested it with many different genres. We got satisfactory results: DOTA 2 for MOBA, Counter Strike Global Offensive for FPS, and Company of Heroes for RTS.
Although shortcut functions via macro keys are not needed, the keys’ sensitivity, accuracy, and response speed can be judged from these games. The result? Not at all disappointing, this Logitech G600 can “dance” along with the character you are controlling. This, of course, makes it a reliable gaming mouse.
So how does the Logitech G600 perform in its flagship genre – MMORPG? We tested this one gaming mouse with DC Universe Online, which is available for free on Steam. Becoming a superhero or villain in DC comics requires your fingers to move quickly and effectively, especially to access every available skill and item. A need that the Logitech G600 meets in a quantity that is even more than sufficient.
If you are, on an extreme scale, you can even play this DC Universe Online well by relying solely on the mouse and the customizations you built for it. All skills, items, quests, and functions other than movement (which are indeed more convenient to access via the keyboard) can be accessed with the massive number of buttons included for it. The claims included by Logitech to make the G600 a gaming mouse is no exaggeration.
